Until November
Take a look here at the Electoral College prospects, and you'll see that once again, it all comes down to Ohio.
We will be turning our TV off for a few months, until the usual round of commercials for beer, cars and prescription drugs returns.
I think the electoral college will be very atypical this time around. I see my home state, VA, being volitale as well as many others. Much of the "blue/red" stuff will be blown up. B.O. will may surprise Bob Dull #2 in the South. Of course, BD2 may make some noise in places where Repubs typically don't shine.
DHW, your comment reflects a lot of current analysis. Yet the polling, reflected in this map, seems to suggest that despite the potential volatility presented by the two candidates and the changing demographics of VA and other states, the map will look largely the same.
It makes me wonder whether all the talk about Obama taking red states or McClain taking blue states is the tacit cooperation of the respective campaigns posturing themselves and the media looking to drum up interest in a story.
Welll it's nice to be "current" for once. I stand by my thoughts. Obama vs. McCain is going to be different. Many states are narrowly "red or blue" and just a slight shift will surely shake it up. But, then again, maybe I'm wrong...
