Well, we guess that Jesus' saying "I am" to the high priest's question, "Are you the Christ [Messiah]" isn't claiming to be Messiah after all.
Hagee's hyper-idiosyncratic dispensationalism is super-duper embarrassing. We just hope that no one notices.

There's no way you believe that Jesus actually said that. Jesus Smeinar debunked all of those myths years ago!

I would guess that "lively discussions" is a euphemism.
I don't know. I'm going to reserve judgment until I have more to judge it on. Perhaps he's entertaining possible arguments for the sake of argument. Believe me, I cannot stand Hagee. His theology is severely flawed on several levels. But this seems unlike him.

I hope that isn't the actually book in the video. It looks to be about 80 - 100 pages. I mean if you are going to dispell Jesus in one solitary volume, at least show some convincing girth. When you have writers such as R.C. Foster that write over 1000 pages on Jesus as the Christ, I would think it would take at least as many pages to disprove that material. (Or is that the point, that you can't disprove it.)
Amazon.com lists the book @ 207 pages. Still not enough to dispell Jesus.
Not having investigated further (life is too short to waste it on the details of nuts like Hagee), we assume that Hagee is operating on a rarefied definition of what it would mean for Jesus to present himself to Israel as messiah. That's why we call this hyper-idiosyncratic dispensationalism, the kind of approach to salvation history that slices and dices it into self-contained units of relatively unrelated rules, contracts and outcomes.
