Artful Political Juxtaposition

On Hillary's resemblance to the dead parrot in the classic Monty Python sketch, see Dana Milbank in WaPo.

Next up:
  • how Obama's promise of tax relief for the middle class plus massively expanded government benefits resembles the claim to have any cheese that one can name in the classic Monty Python cheese shop sketch.
  • how the Democrats' attitude toward military power resembles Eric Idle's paranoia about being attacked by someone with a pointed stick in the classic Monty Python self-defense course sketch.

Recommended comments: other political parallels to Python (must include the word "classic" to qualify).

How Hilary's concession speech will resemble the classic Monty Python ditty from Life of Brian, "Always Look on the Bright Side of Life".

Discussing the achievements of the Bush administration with college students recalls the classic scene from Monty Python's Life of Brian, "What Did the Romans Ever Do For
Us?"

The ubiquity of the word "change" in Dem rhetoric is reminiscent of the increasing frequency with which the title-referenced product is exclaimed in the classic Monty Python "Spam" sketch. . . and with nearly identical gastric effects to eating some: there's really no "meat" and it makes you slightly nauseous.
